Black Friday Minimalism

If you’re always stressed out, perhaps you are focusing on the wrong things in life. Minimalism is a great way to focus your life on things that matter. Henry David Thoreau said that “The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it.” In the twenty-first century, however, we are bombarded with commercials and sales pitches, and as a result, we believed the false narrative that the more stuff we buy, the better our life will be. However, we quickly realize that that is not true. Every item that we have adds to our stress and our busyness.

Not long ago I came across this video on YouTube and was intrigued by what Josh Becker was saying. Like him, I’ve spent a good portion of my life trying to accumulate as much stuff as possible, and that only brought me more financial stress and less time to pursue them things I really wanted to pursue. So about six months ago I decided to own less stuff and invest my time in my relationships with God and other people instead. Needless to say, I will never be the same and loved every minute of this journey. I hope this video inspires you to do the same.

While minimalism might sound strange at first, remember you can personalize it the way you want. The idea is not to subscribe to some lifestyle but to improve your life by focusing on what matters to you and cutting all the clutter, distractions, and time wasters out of your life. Minimalism It is an excellent way to focus on the things that matter in life and which will matter for eternity.

Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Matthew 6:19
